It has been a busy few weeks for the organizing team of the Second ENGAGER conference, due to take place in Bucharest in January 2019. The selection of academic papers has been completed, we are now finalizing the list of speakers and participants for the first day round table, and are setting up the details for the field trips in the third day of the conference, while dealing with the necessary logistics within our network and with COST. We are glad that the conference will gather a mix of active action members and researchers of energy poverty who are not yet members of the action, providing the perfect context to expand our action and to enrich the contributors to our working groups.
In terms of academic content, the 20 papers will be divided in to four panels. Among others, Joao Gouveia and Raul Castano will tackle statistical indicators and measurements of energy poverty; Katrin Grossman and Marlies Hesselman will deal provide trans-disciplinary approaches; Siddarth Sareen and Angela Santangelo will speak about concrete initiatives and local solutions to combat the effects of energy poverty; Ute Dubois and Ana Horta will deal with the social issues arising from the various manifestations of energy poverty.
We will post the abstracts of the papers, as well as updates on the other components of the conference in the coming weeks.
